 This is a heavy machine gun position with shelter during construction. The fire position has a sandwich construction - the interval is filled by crushed stone and gives a reinforced splinter-proof protection. Between the fire position and the shelter there are placed a creeping tube.
Farthest off we see the shelter (diameter=2,2m) witch has an emergency exit at the other side. On the picture there are used a PVC-foil for additional tightening.
The construction hole is drained and the whole construction is going to be surrounded by draining soil. A stone-/concrete jacket is going to cover the shelter. |
